The Challenge
A mid-size law firm adopted AI contract analysis tools but had no way to measure how they changed the actual review workflow. Partners suspected associates were over-delegating to AI on complex clause analysis.
The Approach
H-Synth extracted the firm's documented contract review SOP, then built practiced variants per practice group through interviews and observation. Decision Confidence instruments measured where associates felt most and least certain about AI-assisted outputs.
The Results
The firm identified 4 clause types where AI delegation was appropriate and 2 where human-only review should be mandated. The documented SOP was updated to reflect the optimized workflow, and new associate onboarding now includes the H-Synth process model.
